Dr. Angela Chang received her Bachelor’s degrees in Music and Physiological Sciences from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she graduated with honors.  She earned her medical degree from the UCLA School of Medicine with prestigious Letters of Distinction.  During medical school, she was invited to complete a one-year clinical research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to investigate a drug for the treatment for the head and neck cancer.  She then completed her 6-year residency training at University of California, San Diego in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.

Dr. Angela ChangDr. Chang is board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.  She practices the full breadth of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and treats adult and pediatric patients.  She has extensive experience in treating all types of conditions, including allergy and sinus disorders, snoring and sleep apnea, voice and swallowing disorders, head and neck cancer, hearing and balance disorders, and thyroid and parathyroid conditions.  She has co-authored numerous publications and is the recipient of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery research awards.  She is also recognized nationally as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor.

Dr. Chang strongly believes in patient education, actively involving her patients in their medical decision-making, and emphasizes a caring, individualized approach to each patient. Dr. Chang continually reviews the medical literature to ensure that her patients receive the most up-to-date information and care. Her greatest enjoyment comes from getting to know her patients and seeing her patients improve.

In her free time, Dr. Chang enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.  Dr. Chang is also a classically-trained pianist and enjoys hiking and traveling.
